We are currently reworking our market offering, to better meet the needs of parents and learners alike...
In order to achieve one of Eduship core goals / missions, being the reconciliation of 'affordability' with 'world class education', it has adopted the following 2 prong, fair fee pricing strategy;
Big premises / expensive facilities
4 Eduship converted residences (Eduboats), a large indoor room, and a local field / park, constitute Eduship's premises
Teacher centred curriculum deployment / development
Online curriculum / resource deployment, with an in class facilitator, replaces the need for a teacher
Shareholders with primarily profit motive
Owner-managed franchisees focussed on sustainability and the ACE educational model
For learners living with their parents / guardians;
20% x monthly rental expense in the case of being a tenant (as verified by current lease contract) OR
20% x 1% x bank bonded / valued property in the case of being a homeowner (as verified by a bank valuation letter) OR
If neither a rental contract or bond agreement apply; 5% x combined monthly household income (as verified by affidavit + salary slips / 3 months bank statements)
For learners not living with their parents or legal guardians;
5% x combined monthly income of parents / guardians (as verified by affidavit + salary slips / 3 months bank statements)
Learners under institutional care (i.e. homes, orphanages, etc.)
R1000 (flat fee)
Included below are 4 working examples, using 4 hypothetical cases, of total Eduship cost per family. Please note: 1 month's school fees is required as a deposit upon learner admission.
2 learners living with their parents in rental accommodation. Rental fee = R8k pm.
Student fees = 20% x R8k = R1,6k x 2 learners = R3,2k + SchoolHouse Teachers Curriculum (R225 per family)
= R3,425 per month
3 learners living with their parents in bonded accommodation. Bank valuation of residence = R1,3m
Student fees = 20% x 1% x R1,3m = R2,600 x 3 learners = R7,800 + SchoolHouse Teachers Curriculum (R225 per family)
= R8,025 per month
2 learners not living with their parents or legal guardians. Combined monthly income of parents / legal guardians = R60k
Student fees = 5% x R60k = R3,000 x 2 learners = R6,000 + SchoolHouse Teachers Curriculum (R225 per family)
= R6,225 per month
15 learners living in orphan care
Student fees = 15 x R1000 per learner (flat fee) + SchoolHouse Teachers Curriculum (R225 per family x 3)
= R15,675 per month
