We are currently reworking our market offering, to better meet the needs of parents and learners alike...
Eduship has spent 2022 in the testing phase, and hopes to commence with a pilot classroom phase (with 10 learners) in 2023...
Within a traditional school context, no. But Eduship isn't a traditional school, it's a future school, so you must decide after reading our Legalities & Accreditation page.
The courts, and not the Government, will need to rule on that. However, in the worst case scenario, learners can continue their online curriculum studies independently (through homeschooling), but are themselves registered with and protected by The Pestalozzi Trust.
Yes! India for example is filled with privately owned schools, meeting the market need for a more flexible / better quality education. Korea's private tutor industry is massive, with some of the wealthiest individuals in Seoul being online tutors! What's fundamentally unique about Eduship, is the empowerment of local communities all around SA, to become franchise owners of their very own future school, independent of Government limitations and restrictions, and at a fraction of the cost of traditional private education options.
Grades 4 -12, however given it's dramatic departure from traditional teaching philosophies and curriculums (CAPS & Cambridge), no learner can board Eduship beyond grade 8.
Yes, and it will, if a qualifying dadmaster applies from your community.
If by sport you are referring to big derby days and overseas cricket tours... No. If however you are referring to informal sports of almost every shape and form during and after school hours... Yes! Competitive sports offered will depend upon the preferences and ages of learners in each future school, with friendly fixtures between future schools a much hoped for development.
Yes, believe it or not, our fee structure is linked to an affordability index. The model cross subsidizes itself, by allowing those who can afford to pay more, to cover those who cannot. Here is the associated calculation for learner school fees;
For learners living with their parents / guardians; (minimum R1250 / maximum R3500)
= 20% x monthly rental expense (in the case of being a tenant) - as verified by current lease contract.
OR
= 20% x 1% x bank bonded / valued property (in the case of being a homeowner) - as verified by a bank valuation letter.
OR
If neither a rental contract or bond agreement apply; 5% x combined monthly household income (as verified by affidavit + salary slips / 3 months bank statements)
For learners not living with their parents / guardians; (minimum R1250 / maximum R3500)
= 5% x combined monthly income of parents / guardians - as verified by affidavit + salary slips / 3 months bank statements.
OR
Children under institutional care (i.e. homes, orphanages, etc.) = R1000
No, it's not. But that's not because it's difficult, it's because Godliness and character are rare commodities these days. You will see from the dadmaster application form, that vision, character and the right experience, is what it takes to own and run a future school.
